i stress that this is a mass media phenomena.

it is the abuse of the court of public opinion, however manipulated, to subvert the court
of justice, reason and science.

being correct is not helpful for the purpose of convincing young people that you are correct. that much is obvious because we are hardly alone in our desire to help the young get out of this mess. you and i are not credible to young people. you cannot persuade them to listen to reason now.

is it possible to acknowledge how we arrived at this fatally perverse condition of humanity?
i wish to acknowledge it now. i have no hope that it will heal anyone nor any thing.
but i wish to get it out there.

previous generations of americans abused the courts, legislatures, for political purposes. the americans of the past, us, represent this abuse. we cannot be taken seriously. we cannot be trusted. we cannot be allowed to hold power. and it is our fault alone. young people will never trust the people who:
demonized drugs while waving the flag of freedom, incarcerating people for no crime except for
offending the sensitive feelings of those conservative xtians who chose to employ the courts
police and jails to teach morality.

used the law to enforce sexual repression, again with courts, police, jail while waving the flag and
proclaiming that they support individual freedoms.

gave all of the power over the country to large corporations, in exchange for those social favors above.
