Thanks for your thoughtful words Susan. I'm glad that you are contributing to this website. One of the prompts that I would like Robert to use in a video chat for guiding discussions is the question, "What should we do with the remaining time of our lives?" I think that you have given your answer. It is a fallacy that a universal religion exists. Each person is going to have a different answer for this question. For some, rigorous exercise under the tutelage of an expert athletic coach is the right answer. They will train and devote their lives to athletics. Athletic achievment is the right religion for those people. Telling them some other mumbo-jumbo would be a crime against their soul.

The worst type of religion is the kind that glorifies mystical, inscrutable, ineffable characters, like Yogananda for example. It's totally dishonest. It is theater. The happiness is in the quest. People don't know what it was like in primitive times, with no TV, and no comforts of industrialization. They came up with entertainment of their own, and it was perfect for them.

So my recommendation is to enjoy the material conditions that you are able to enjoy, without shame, guilt, repression, condemnation and without seeking any poetic justice for the moral causes that you are plagued by. There isn't any justice. Be all that you can be.
