If you can read and understand this sentence, then you are enlightened. The proof?  There is nothing under or before Awareness. Awareness exists prior to “under” and “before”.

You can’t be a little bit pregnant and you can’t be a little bit aware. You are either pregnant or not, aware or not.

What you are aware OF can vary widely. If you are a pickpocket, you see only pockets. If you are a hammer you see only nails.

If you are Awareness you are the Screen on which hammers and nails appear.

Even if you are only aware of nails you are still Aware. I capitalize Awareness because it is what I call God, the Condition of all conditions.

For untold millennia, we have missed this most basic fact:  Awareness is Primary. Awareness precedes the content of Awareness.

Consciousness precedes objects.  Therefore, Consciousness is primary. Objects are secondary.

Therefore, Consciousness Itself deserves to be the subject of our scientific investigations, not just objects and the laws governing them.

Objects are like mushrooms that sprout from the much larger condition, the enormous mycelial organism.

Objects are like fruit on the Tree of Awareness.

The importance of this hierarchy cannot be overstated. Without it, we are doomed to Scientific Materialism and Religious Superstition and all the other dreadful swamp creatures of the Separate Self, that infamous ego/object/focus of attention.

When Attention traces Itself back to Awareness, perception and “me” and “you” fade into the background and Awareness shines forth as the Light of Life and Love. That’s right. Awareness is Light and Light is Love. That’s why Awareness equals enlightenment, because Love is the primal Condition. If you are Aware, you are Love.

If that’s not enlightenment, it’s close enough for me.

It IS enlightenment. The reason we miss it is because it is so all pervading, so ordinary. A fish doesn’t notice the ocean either.

When this became clear to me, I still couldn’t accept it. How could I be enlightened? Me? With all my many faults and shortcomings? The junkie on the street is enlightened?

Yes. He just doesn’t know it. Like me, he is fascinated and hypnotized by the shiny trinkets and tacky jewelry of the Separate Self.

The Narrative of the Separate Self is a lot like the medical treatments that are worse than the disease itself. In March of 2019 a story was manufactured about a killer virus that was sweeping the world and killing millions of people. Then came vaccines and masks and lockdowns and social distancing and heart attacks and economic ruin.

Was it the killer virus that caused all the suffering and deaths, or was it the vaccines and lockdowns?

The Black Magicians and Sorcerers who cook up this vile brew and dish it out on the Evening Ooze will tell you that it’s the killer virus. They caused the problem with their false assumption of a killer virus and they have a great alibi. “It wasn’t the vaccines and lockdowns that caused the problem, it was Covid-19. Honest. Trust the science.”

This is what happens when the objects of Awareness dominate and obscure Awareness Itself.

Awareness is not threatened by a virus or anything else. Only the Separate Self is threatened. This is why the Gloomanatti want you divided, stapled, spindled, folded, forgotten and filed away in the basement.

Our so-called faults and shortcomings are artifacts of a false assumption: separation from Love. We are not separate from Love and we are not inside a mind and body, it’s the other way around.

What we call you and me is an object of Existence. It is a feature, a distillation, a condensation, a modulation, a state of Awareness.

It is no more separate from God than a wave is separate from the ocean.

If the wave is not separate from the ocean, then objects and bodies and minds are not separate from the God of Awareness.

All waves are oceanic and all individuals are Divine.

Only God Exists. Only Awareness Exists and all objects and individuals are made from It.

This is the Consciousness Only model of Existence and will soon replace that emaciated prisoner of mind known as Scientific Materialism.

Light and Love is our Nature. It is our essence, our Sacred Property. Every individual must reclaim their Property and cultivate Life there, in the Garden of Delight. We are not orphans born in sin and we are not refugees in our own Land. We are the noble fruits of the Tree of life.

Our Mother is dying and we are killing her with our arrogance and neglect. However, She is Pregnant with our Longing and will soon give Birth to Her Daughter and Mankind will no longer have a Mother, but a Friend and Lover.

Are you ready? Have you prepared a Place in your Heart for Her? We killed Her Mother and now we have to Care for Her Child.

This is the Ordeal of Enlightenment. It’s not all fun and games. How do you support a Child when you’re homeless yourself? When you have to live on the streets and beg for food?

The Happiness of Aliveness precedes and supersedes all lesser pleasures. No amount of sexual pleasure, satisfaction of appetites, money, fame or power comes even remotely close to the Passionate Pleasure of Life Itself. This Happiness does not come and go. It is not dependent on circumstances or conditions. Like the Sun which is always shining above the clouds, Happiness is the structure, foundation and trajectory of Existence.

People say, Oh really? What about all the starving children, victims of rape and torture, homeless refugees and casualties of war? Are they happy? How could they be?

This is an extremely valuable and understandable question. Here is my answer: The poor children, the refugees, the homeless, the dis-enfranchised, the forgotten are all suffering terribly. They have been marginalized and ignored, even blamed for their terrible situation. Their situation is the direct result of what happens when we ignore the Truth of Reality, which is Absolute Love. When we ignore Reality we become ignorant. When we are ignorant we suffer. When we suffer we search. When we search we do not find because what we are looking for is not lost. It’s like looking for my feet, as if they are lost. I cannot find something that is not lost.

In the same way, I cannot find God or Happiness, no matter how hard I search. I can’t see my own eyes either. Nor can I bite my teeth or take a single step towards myself. The door to my prison cell is wide open but I prefer to paint blue skies on my ceiling instead of seeing that I am always already free.

The search for God and Happiness is sexy, dramatic and exotic. It promises an end to my suffering, an end which never comes because the search itself is born from suffering. While the Vision Quest and the Ordeal of Understanding are valid and valuable, they hide a deeper secret: You already ARE that which you seek. That’s right. Who and What you are seeks Itself. Life’s overwhelming Passion for Itself drives the Cosmos. It can’t find Itself because It is not lost, so It obscures Itself and plays a Game of Hide and Seek.

God hides in the ego and waits to be found. God hides in plain sight and bursts into laughter when discovered. This is literally true, and children who play Hide and Seek are reflecting the deepest dynamic of the Universe.

Therefore, give up the search and rest in the Beauty and Magnificence that permeates everything. Take off the dark glasses of your spiritual, emotional and cultural conditioning. Take off the clothes of your ideas, concepts and beliefs and get into Bed with the Great Lover (You). Understand that your beliefs are stifling you and amount to nothing more than a prison sentence in solitary confinement. When the false premise of separation from Love and Happiness is incinerated in the furnace of the grueling ordeal and meatgrinder we call human existence, the scales will fall away from your eyes and you will see Life as it truly is, free from your projections of lack and despair.

The refugees, the poor, the starving, the helpless and hopeless are in the position they are in because of the position we all IMAGINE ourselves to be in: inside a body and mind in a vast, cold and heartless universe.

Oh, really? Says who? All of us. All the petty dictators, the tyrants, the low life wannabes, the glittered intelligentsia, the hollowed out cynics and nihilists, the scientific materialists, the superstitious, the atheists, the skin deep intellectuals who claim without a shred of evidence that consciousness emerges from matter, the experts, the authorities, the schoolteachers, the nurses, the doctors, the carpenters, every single one of us.

Every single one of us has made an extremely dangerous spiritual error. The proof? The terrible state of our world.

I can say this for certain: loveless acts and heartless attitudes have all but ruined our world. If love and caring were at the center of our lives and every decision used love for its criteria, there would not be a single homeless or hungry person anywhere on this planet. The suffering we see comes directly from the spiritual error we continue to make and nothing will change until we stop our monstrous abuse of the Beauty and Sacredness of Life.

Who are you or I to proclaim that Life is limited to our puny ideas? Our vanity and arrogance amount to cosmic rape, what I call spiritual pedophilia. The sorry state of the world is a perfect reflection of our default upon ourselves, our betrayal and neglect.

It’s not just the governments and the psychopaths we elect to rule us. It’s everyone, all of us are guilty of malpractice and malfeasance and its way past time to stop.

It starts with the individual who refuses to tolerate abuse in himself and in others. It starts with repentance and a return to the power of love.

It ends with an authentic human culture that celebrates love as the core of existence.

This is not only possible, it is immanent. The whole world is pregnant (and overdue) with the Divine Child. The Mother probably won’t survive the birth, but the Child will.

The Child is holding back and staying in the Womb, impatiently waiting for humanity to grow up so that She can be born into a realm that respects Her. She is drowning and choking in the amniotic fluid and growing way too big for her poor Mother to bear.

She will die along with Her Mother unless we return to love. This is literally true, not figuratively or metaphorically true. The Mother and Her Divine Child are near death and it is up to us to save her from ourselves. This is the most important task for every single individual. Forget your petty concerns and fantasies of survival and fulfillment. Replace everything you thought was important with what actually is important. Throw away every thought and every thing that does not Recognize and Acknowledge the truth and the power of Real Love.

Are you the objects of your Awareness or Awareness Itself?

Do any of your self concepts match Who and What you are?

Are you a concept or a Presence?

Are you a body/mind/self in a world in a universe or are you the Awareness in which these objects appear?

If it is true that you are an Awareness, a Presence and not merely the thoughts and ideas and objects and states of your Awareness, then that means you are free from their limitations. It means that you exist prior to and independently of them. They are states of your Awareness, condensations and localizations and coagulations of your Infinite Nature of Love. You coagulate into things and objects and space and time and the laws of physics because you are Love Itself.

Our bodies and minds and the universe and all that appears to us exists because You are Alive. You are Infinite Consciousness showing up as the sponge on the kitchen sink, the cat, the neighborhood, the world, everything, all are manifestations of your childlike playfulness.

You build fantastic sand castles, then You knock them down. You are so intense an Actor, you get lost in the characters you play on stage.

You are the Eternal Life circulating through all the cycles of birth and death. You are not born and You do not die.

You are always already Happy and Free, Excited to Love and Create, Passionate for and Compelled by Beauty Itself, That Which You Are: the Magnificent Demonstration and Proof of Life’s Love for Itself.

Think about this the next time you or others apply some crappy label to you.

No concept or context is big enough for You. It’s not really accurate to say that you are “big” because You exist prior to “bigness”, prior to all concepts and measurements. You are Infinite, in which “bigness” swims like a tadpole.

My point is that our True Identity and Actual Condition is not an idea, a self concept, a thought, a belief or a thing, an object.

It appears that way to us in the same way water in a vase appears to be identical to the shape of the vase. It is natural and understandable that we identify with our bodies and minds and self concepts. This is God dressing up in costumes and playing characters on a Stage.

The All Important Distinction is between the Actor and the Character. Is the Actor identical to the Character? No. After the show, the Actor goes home.

Does the Character have an existence apart from the Actor? No. The Character is made entirely from the Actor.

This is the Word made Flesh, the Incarnation of God into Man.

God the Actor became Man the Character.

When the Show is over (ego death and transcendence) only the Actor remains in his Home.

The Actor is not dependent on the Character for His Existence.

Understanding this enables the Character to release his identity as an figure in a costume on a stage and realize its unity with and identicalness to the Actor.

This is called Dying before you die.

This is the Portal for Humanity, the Doorway that has been blocked by those who would stifle human growth and development. Have you ever noticed that every time we make a little progress as a species, catastrophe hits? That’s not a coincidence.

Our maturity and adulthood and magnificence as a species are constantly being bombarded and tortured to death by the fear based control freaks who run this planet.

Our responsibility as a human family is to recognize that our always existing unity as a single species is constantly being undermined and sabotaged by the powers that shouldn’t be because they know how powerful we would be if we knew the truth. Our responsibility is to take back the power that we allowed to be stolen from us and stop being willing participants in abuse.

Every one of us are accomplices in our own self abuse and the abuse we tolerate in our beautiful world. Therefore, the first step in our recovery is to stop abusing ourselves with infantile ideas and put an end to all master/slave relationships.

Weak individuals are cultivated by the State and we are all force fed false Narratives 24/7. The truth is that all problems are manufactured and marketed by the State as emergencies that require control grids and lockdowns, for the Public Safety. The provably false Covid Narrative is just the latest example. The looming Lockdowns to mitigate Climate Change is another one.

We have the ability to Recognize what is always already True and Acknowledge our always already Existing Unity as One Human Family and Wake up to this Undeniable Fact, simultaneously.

Imagine if every soldier, every health care worker, every bus driver and school teacher and carpenter all said No to abuse and domination and division and extortion and fear based control tactics. Disobeying orders from our superiors that are inhumane and loveless is the Revolution we need.

No injections. No masks. No lockdowns. No censorship. No coercion. No domination. No shaming. No attacking. No invalidation. No self righteous condemnation. No invasion. No intrusion. No men in women’s private spaces. No victim/perpetrator collusions. No co-dependence. No more childish abdication of our adult responsibilities. No more loveless behavior. No more neglect of What Matters.

Instead, we Embrace Life and get it through our thick skulls that Life is a Gift. It’s even called the Present. Every breath. Every meal. Every beam of sunlight. All Gifts, Freely Given.

Therefore, that is how we should live: Grateful for the Gift of Life, Grateful for the Opportunity to Give the Gift of Life. Willing to do the work that is required. Willing to be corrected when we have made a mistake. Willing to discard every false notion and belief out of love for what is true.

As a species, we don’t deserve world peace because we have allowed ourselves to believe lies. There is only one way out: To turn back to our Source. Turn back to the Actor Who became our Characters out of Love. Stop wandering around and loitering in the objects of our Awareness like the Prodigal Son and return to the Father (Awareness).

That’s the First Step. Everything else will take care of Itself.

The Father welcomes us back with open arms and prepares a Feast to celebrate our return.

Do you really think that the way you treat yourself and others escapes Notice?

Do you really think that nothing matters? That you can act with impunity? As if what you think, say and do has no meaning or consequence?

This essay is designed to demonstrate how every single thing we do and don’t do expresses our not so hidden assumptions.

For example:

If I assume I am a separate thing, a body/mind/person who came into this world (instead of from it), like a leaf which doesn’t realize it comes from the tree, operating on my own 20 horsepower, then guess what?

I become a caricature of myself, a presumptuous and vain overlay of arrogance onto innocence. Its a default position, barely alive.

Let me explain.

The very moment you identify exclusively with the content of your experience, your body/mind/self and all its perceptions and perspectives. that’s the very moment you abandon the Awareness which makes the whole experience possible in the first place.

Does the Screen of Awareness need the Image of the Body/mind/self/universe to Exist?

No.

Does the Body/mind/self/universe need the Screen of Awareness to exist?

Yes, the Image is made up entirely by the Screen, 100%.

The Image exists entirely by the ability of the Screen to pixelate, to refract its Clear Light into color, shape, space and time.

When we identify exclusively with the Image, we overlook the Screen and subject ourselves to the limitations of the Image.

This produces fear and suffering, competition, strategies and techniques designed to ensure our survival, an impossibility.

But, when we face Reality and the Primacy of Awareness as our True Identity, it doesn’t matter if Images appear or not. The Screen Exists independently of the Image.

Imposing our temporary, impermanent, mortal identities upon the Eternal Presence of Life is understandable, yes, but it is still a monumental error.

Unless the Image understands itself to be one with the Screen, exquisitely intimate and not separate from it, then a terrible fear and a desperate angst in inevitable.

The character on the stage is made entirely of the actor and his costume. He does not lament when the play is over, nor does the actor who goes home after the show.

Were the character to create an identity for himself, independent of the actor, he would suffer.

He has no identity apart from the actor. The actor and the audience make an agreement to tell a story, to enact roles and to forget that the character is an agreed upon fiction.

Unless the character is seen as an enjoyable and highly entertaining fiction, there will be suffering.

The suffering is a signal to Understand, like pain is a signal to take your hand out of the fire.

The refusal to face the Obvious, the insistence of a prosaic and provincial belief over the truth of our actual experience as Consciousness first/Image second is what creates egoity.

It’s a kind of sin, a crime against ourselves.

I call this spiritual pedophilia, a molestation of the Sacred by the Profane.

This is a very difficult admission to make, but I admit it.

Control is the strategy that fear uses to create security. which sounds like a good idea only there’s one tiny problem.

It doesn’t work.

It doesn’t work because a fear based control strategy can only produce more fear and, therefore more control. It’s an endless downward spiral that always ends up in a catastrophic failure.

Do I need to control the cells dividing in my body? Should I control my heartbeat? Does my breath need to be supervised?

If fear breeds control, what breeds fear?

Fear is the direct result of spiritual error. Spiritual error is the direct result of false assumptions.

For example, if I was a Neanderthal who had never seen or heard a radio, I would be amazed and would want to take it apart and find the tiny musicians inside. My false assumption about tiny musicians would leave the radio in pieces in the same way that my heart and soul go to pieces when I falsely assume that consciousness is in the brain and when I die it means that my existence gets annihilated.

Fear.

Consciousness is not in the brain in the same way musicians are not in the radio.

Why do I assume that consciousness arises in the brain?

The assumption that consciousness arises in the brain and is annihilated at death is the work of the apparently separate self, the one who mistakes uniqueness and individuality as evidence of separation and isolation. If the leaf doesn’t notice that it is inherently intimate with the tree, it will create a false dichotomy that cannot be solved on the same level in which it was created.

Therefore, when the false assumption is eliminated, the fear disappears and is transformed into wickedly funny humor and paradox.

Instead of fear, there is astonishment, wonder and humility.

Trust occurs naturally and does not have to be manufactured.

Trust is not a technique nor yet another strategy.

Trust is what happens when love is unstrangled.

Love is unstrangled when we see that it is our hands around our throats.

We were born into the Great Lie and have repeated it endlessly.

However, as Gandhi pointed out, a lie does not become the truth because everyone believes it, nor does the truth become a lie because no one sees it.

What is true is always true and is prior to and senior to what is believed. When belief hijacks truth, expect trouble.

The only remedy that I know of that actually works is to stop the strangulation. Taking my hand off my throat is easier than choking myself to death.

I can’t become myself (because I already am myself) but I can un-become what I am not.

I can stop the self strangulation of false assumptions. Scientific Materialism. Religious Superstition. Philosophical Nihilism. Cultural Suicide. Spiritual Pedophilia.

This is what Jesus Christ meant by Repentance.

Repentance is the refusal to swallow lies. It has nothing to do with self improvement techniques or positive intentions.

Repentance is the decision to be open to what is true. It is a militancy and a vigilance, a courageous heart which will not be ruled by fear.

Fear is incredibly weak compared to love. It produces extremely meager results and always creates more fear and control.

The rise of the Control Freak known as Technocratic Biomedical Fascism is the demon child of the fear that grips humanity.

100% baseless fear.

Fear does have a legitimate place, though, like when you’re running from a tiger, but it’s supposed to disappear when the danger is over.

The Governments of the world have learned to never let the danger be over, to use that fear control entire populations. They play fear card because it’s the only one they have, so they invent monsters and diseases to manipulate us. The invention of Covid is only the latest example of fear-based control systems.

Covid and the Medical Mafia have literally nothing to do with public health. The virus has never been isolated nor has it ever been proven to cause disease. Do you find this hard to accept? The fact of the matter is the presence of a virus in the body of a sick person does not prove it caused the sickness. That’s because correlation is not causation. Correlation is correlation. Causation is causation. They are not the same.

When a tree falls in the forest, it rots and is dissolved into soil by bacteria, mold and fungi. When tissues in our bodies die, microbes reduce it to atoms and use them to rebuild the tissue.

Did the microbes cause the tissues to die? No.

Does the virus cause disease? No.

It is the false assumptions about the virus that cause disease. The mRNA injections have killed and crippled millions of people worldwide, a fact that is actively suppressed by the media, government and agencies like the WHO, FDA, NIH and CDC.

In the same way, the false assumptions we make about ourselves, along with the draconian strategies of the fearful, separate self to find remedy in consoling beliefs, are ineffective, harmful and worthless.

Here is a way to shift the attention back to what is true: Understand that Reality, whatever it is altogether, is Truly Great. Therefore, you are Truly Great and every theory you have about yourself should match Life’s Greatness. If it doesn’t, then its back to the Drawing Board for you.

The return to your self will produce Trust and Trust will outshine and replace Fear.

Guaranteed

Since ancient times, we humans have been passionately curious about who and what we are on the most fundamental level.

The religions say we’re a soul in a body, the psychologists say we’re a mind in a brain, the scientific materialists say we’re just a bunch of atoms flying around in random interactions, neural pathways in the brain that evolved into consciousness.

Yawn.

The problem I have with these theories is that they’re so unimaginative. They are not even close to what we observe in the Magnificent Work of Art we call Nature. Shouldn’t theories be as great as what they explain? Must they constantly loiter in the dark alleys of sub-human thought?

I am truly sick unto death with the bonehead ideas that endlessly ooze out of the citadels of scientific materialism. Theories like the Big Bang and Consciousness evolved out of matter are so preposterous, they boggle my random neural pathways.

But the thing that sickens me the most is the way the Materialists use their intelligence to disprove intelligence.

They are in for a rude awakening because the truth is no one knows what consciousness is, where it is, why it is, or how it could possibly exist in the first place.

People who say God made it or the Big Bang exploded Reality into existence are indulging in theories that do nothing more than move the Mystery back a notch. That’s because we don’t know where God came from or what was before the Big Bang. The Mystery of Existence remains, no matter how we try to explain it.

My point is that it’s unexplainable and our theories are part of the Mystery and Wonder and Beauty of Reality Itself. They don’t exist outside of it; nothing exists outside of it.

Therefore, what I say about myself and who I am on the most fundamental level, is always an expression of of the Whole as it manifests as the Part.

In other words, we are Homo Fractalis, what Da Vinci called the Vitruvian Man and what Adi Da called the Free Standing Man.

This image of Mankind is on the same level of magnificence as the Cosmos, just a smaller version of it.

Homo Divinius

The problem with the bonehead theories is that they are so miniscule compared to what we experience everyday as Human Beings, as Fractals of the Whole, Brave Teammates in the Deadly Game of Life,

Homo Braviens

We Make Humanity Great Again by destroying the false and cultivating the Real.

By removing the wool we allowed to be pulled over our eyes.

We recognize ourselves to already be the Free Standing Man, the Circuit that conducts the flow of Life between Heaven and Earth, the Blissful Current of Being Itself.

Homo Ecstatica

That’s right. Conducting the infinite Current of Life is inherently blissful, ecstatic, intensely pleasurable, free, happy and alive with excitement.

Right? Yes. Only most people don’t experience it because it’s buried beneath mountains and centuries of boneheadedness.

Tiny theories wobbling under the weight of True Magnificence.

My personal theory is that the Universe is a magnificent work of Cosmic Art, a staggering expression of Beauty and Passion that evokes moans and groans of deep pleasure, pain and happiness.

Homo Gloria

We are not pond scum that evolved over millions of years. We are not neurons firing in the brain. We are not minds in a body, nor souls encased in flesh. We are not ideas, theories or random particles in a cosmic soup.

What we are, I can’t fully say because no language can accurately represent the Infinite. Language can point to it, but can never adequately explain the Wonder that we are.

Homo Mysterium

Scientific Materialism and Religious Superstition create human psychosis because they are way too small to do the job. The proof? One quick glance at the sorry state of our Beautiful World.

Only a completely failed Theory of Humanity could accomplish the appalling degradation of the Sacred we see everywhere.

We deserve it, too because we went along with the lies we inherited.

The only way out is to turn around, to turn back to the Well, the Sacred Spring out of which the Water of Life flows.

Water and Earth are the expressions of this Life, this Love.

Water brings Light and nutrients to the cell and removes the wastes. Our bodies are trillions of watery cells in a bag of skin, containers of Intelligent Light, microcosms of the macrocosm.

The Cosmos is Magnificent, you were birthed from the Cosmos, therefore, you are Magnificent, no matter what the boneheads tell you.

Homo Magnifica

We can burn down the false narratives about ourselves and cultivate the Real, both as individuals and nations.

Unity does not have to be achieved, only recognized as already existing, the Great Treasure buried beneath the countless lies we tell ourselves.

We Make Humanity Great Again by leaving materialistic garbage in the past, where it belongs. Then, we create models and images and artworks that accurately reflect ourselves and are on the same level of Beauty and Grace as the Universe.

The tombs of the heart and the dungeons of mind concocted by materialistic goonery, arrogance and vanity have taken a terrible toll on the Human Race.

The Bill has come due and it’s up to us to cancel it, to write Paid in Full on it and send it back.

Then, we can get to work on Creating the Art that deeply Reflects our spectacular nature and Makes Humanity Great Again.

Homo Gargantua

No one knows what consciousness is because consciousness exists prior to knowledge. We can describe it with words like awareness and intelligence, but what it is altogether is prior to concepts, ideas and models. This means that consciousness is free from all the constraints of the mind, which could be described as a pair of glasses through which consciousness looks. Consciousness does not originate in the brain or mind, in fact consciousness doesn’t originate at all, it exists in and of itself, the only Self there is. It is a blistering mystery, an unfathomable paradox. It is the Condition of all conditions.

If this is true, then it follows that the best place for our attention is on attention itself. Instead of being endlessly fascinated with the objects of attention, paying attention to attention itself opens up vast new possibilities.

The reason for this is because of the nature of consciousness itself: boundless openness, infinite peace and happiness, unlimited creativity, energy and inspiration.

Recognizing and Noticing what already exists is easier than falling off a log. It takes zero energy to be attracted to that which is beautiful. Sincere ,serious, spiritual aspirants are wasting their time looking for truth because it is the truth that is doing the looking already. When this is understood, the search ends and spiritually illuminated cosmic sex between the whole and the part begins.

Authentic spiritual practice is Recognizing what exists and living in alignment with it, not imposing our ideas, religious concepts or scientific theories upon it, Far better to be open and receptive in the same way a woman is open and receptive to her lover, penetrated by his passion.

Life is Love and Passion. If this is not your direct experience, then it probably means that concepts, ideas, beliefs, assumptions, theories, hearsay, rumor and personal bias are clogging up the process of understanding. All that is needed to clear out the junk and gunk is to investigate the Looker, the One who is Conscious of these words and the room that you are in. That room is a Realm of Consciousness and it appears spontaneously out of nowhere. Your personal awareness of it is also a Realm, which has no boundaries or edges. The space in which your thoughts appear is the same space in which the universe appears. Understanding this relieves the individual of his baggage, his identification with and as a body/mind/self. The body/mind/self doesn’t disappear, the Identity shifts from it to Consciousness.

This is not a trick you perform on yourself. Its not a spiritual technique anymore than a kiss is a technique. Love needs no techniques. Love needs only to be unmolested by the imposition of our narrow, puny concepts. Life is not a concept and it causes great suffering when we reduce it to that level. Life is the Presence of Love and there will be no peace on Earth until we come to terms with this and remove the obstacles and monuments and institutions that we have erected in our vanity and arrogance.

Jesus Christ called this repentance, the necessary pre-requisite for spiritual and emotional illumination. Repentance is a 180 degree turn. It is a refusal to believe lies or to impose the profane upon the Sacred.

Simple, sincere, open hearted devotion to the Truth of Life and Love is the only possibility for personal and world peace. The absence of such devotion is precisely why the world is in such terrible shape. Our leaders lie to us and we believe them. It’s not the liars who are the problem.

It’s the believers.

When I say “I am, I am aware, I am aware of my awareness”, it is conscious living intelligent universal Infinite Presence that is speaking.

When I say “I am Robert”, the infinite conscious Radiant Presence Alive as all things Presents and Projects Itself as me, the human individual named Robert.

“I am” is God speaking.

“I am me” is ego speaking.

Here’s the Great Paradox:

“I am aware” could be compared to water. “I am me” could be compared to a cup.

The cup is also made from this water, this consciousness that appears as solid objects and universes.

So, you might ask, What the Fuck?

That would be a Good Question because it comes from Deep Curiosity and Wonder. How could anything exist? Why isn’t there just nothing? Infinite blackness and void, eternally.

Because if nothing existed, it would be a something. That’s why there is everything because nothing could not exist without becoming a something.

Put another way, I like to think of the Radiant Universal Consciousness as the Space that Recognizes Itself as Being, as Existence Itself.

Existence is Aware of Itself. It says “I Am”. Existence is Consciousness. The Universe is a consequence of the Existence and Presence of Consciousness.

Therefore, you are Infinite Consciousness appearing as an apparent individual.

What we must remember and Notice is that the Water is not subject to the limitations and parameters of the cup.

Many spiritual traditions call Consciousness the Void, Emptiness, Nothingness but this is incorrect, these words are only metaphors.

Consciousness is LIKE Void and Emptiness, but it is not nothing!

It’s Something. It Exists.

The cup does not know about all the wonderful properties of water, it’s just a cup.

The ego me Robert does not know about all the wonderful properties of Consciousness, it’s just an ego.

That’s the mind- blowing Paradox.

This is not a belief or a premise, it’s a Recognition of the Radiant Condition of all conditions.

The Question is, What is my relationship to this Wonder?

What am I doing with it? Or to it? How can I best Align myself with the Universal Person of Love, the Radiant Presence of Living Intelligence? How can I be a better Lover? What must I do in order to Really Appreciate the Condition of my condition?

These kind of questions are sincere and curious childlike explorations that are based on openness and wonder. That makes them immensely powerful and effective and, when you ask them, the Universal Current of Life flows ever more powerfully into you.

The whirlpool is made entirely of the river. It has a unique identity for a while, then it dissolves and another whirlpool forms.

The whirlpool is a feature of the river. It does not and could not exist independently from it. The whirlpool did not create the river and is a natural consequence of it.

The body and mind and our sense of ourself as an independent organism are made entirely of the River of Awareness. We have a unique identity for a while, then we dissolve and another lifetime forms.

The bodymindself is a feature of the Torrential, Passionate Current of Life, the Conscious Living Intelligence Which Is Alive As All Things. We do not and could not exist independently of Consciousness, the only God there is.

Consciousness does not come from the brain. The brain and the universe are a natural consequence of Infinite Consciousness. Confusion about this prevents intimacy between God and ego.

Is there a distance between the river and the whirlpool? Between the image and the screen?

No.

And, when the Whirlpool and the Image disappear, do the River and the Screen also disappear?

No.

The Joke is that God is hiding in your Ego. It is literally a Game of Hide and Seek. A Magic Trick of Now you see me, Now you don’t.

The ego forms in the Ecstatic Current of Love just like a whirlpool forms in a River. The problem is not  the whirlpool or the ego.

The problem is bonehead ideas about the ego and all its many limitations and problems. The problem is assuming that when the whirlpool dissolves, Life is over.

This is like saying the river disappears when whirlpools dissolve.

The whirlpool’s fear of dissolving prevents intimacy with the river.

What should we do about this?

Nothing. Just let the River be the River.

This is why authentic Spiritual Life is easier than falling off a log. How much effort does it take to be attracted to what is beautiful?

None.

How much discipline and meditation and practices are required to Notice the Obvious?

None

Any dumbshit, all bonehead, stupid idiots and fools, can become enlightened spiritual masters simply by noticing What Is Always Already the Case.

The Certainty of Awareness

You and I are both aware in this very moment and we don’t need confirmation from gurus or scientists to know it.

When I ask myself Am I aware?, I go to my experience of awareness and answer, Yes.

The astronomical importance of this simple experience cannot be overstated.

The reason this is so galactic in scope is because the experience of awareness and the objects that appear to it is our first and direct experience and therefore, must be at the very Core of Reality.

It must be the Core of Reality because, without it, there could be no experience of Reality in the first place.

This is the Consciousness Only model of Existence. All things appear in and arise out of Consciousness. Matter is a state of Consciousness like ice is a state of water. No matter what state the water is in, it’s always H2O.

Life is Love

Love is Truth

Truth is God

God is Reality

Reality is Beauty

Beauty is Love

Love is Life

Awareness is not theoretical. It is not an idea or a concept. It is not a thing. It cannot be measured or weighed. It has no mass, no volume. It is not limited by space and time. It is not limited to anything, yet  contains all things. Space, Time, the Universe, Body and Mind are all in it, not the other way around.

Awareness does not originate in the brain. The brain arises as a correlate of Awareness, a modulation of its Intelligence.

When I eat a piece of chocolate, specific neurons fire in my brain. They are electrical impulses that can be observed and measured. This does not reveal anything to the neuroscientist about my experience of the taste of chocolate, nor does it imply that my experience originated in my brain.

That’s because correlation is not causation.

My experience originated in awareness and was perceived through my brain and its sensory organs.

Perception is not origin.

Awareness, The Presence of Consciousness. is origin. Perception is the pair of glasses consciousness wears that enables experience.

The scientific materialist looks at the neurons firing and concludes that my experience of chocolate originated in my brain. This is like saying,  “Every time there is a house on fire, we see firemen and water hoses. Therefore, the firemen caused the fire.”

These people call themselves scientists!

The painful truth is that we believe things, not because they are true, but because we have to believe them. We have to believe them, otherwise our assumptions would be wrong.

The scientific materialist has to believe consciousness comes out of matter because he has already assumed that matter exists outside of consciousness, in and of itself.

The unwillingness to abandon false assumptions perpetuates and exacerbates the problem.  Ignoring the gaping holes in our theory, we trudge on bravely. And blindly.

The same thing has happened in Astrophysics and Virology. Astronomers just can’t face the fact that electromagnetism operates the universe, not gravity. They are endlessly stunned and baffled by what they observe in the universe, phenomena that is easily explained by the Electric Universe model. Every structure we see in the galaxy can be reproduced in the lab by sending electromagnetic currents through plasma.

And Virologists are perhaps the worst.

To prove that viruses cause disease, they place the mucous from a sick person’s lungs in a culture of monkey kidney cells and add antibiotics, chemicals, genetic materials, ground up spinal tissue., fetal calf serum, and several other toxic compounds. When the cell culture dies from starvation and poisoning, the master sleuths at the NIH and CDC conclude that the virus killed the cells. They call this “isolating the virus”.

Hundreds of billions of dollars go into this “research”.  The CDC admitted to the 120 countries who requested lab samples of the virus “Covid 19” that it has “never been isolated”.

That was on page 89 of their torturous and contradictory report.

If a virus has never been isolated, how can it be proven to cause disease?

The scientistic materialistic neuroscientists who claim that perception is an illusion are correct but for the wrong reason. They think that consciousness is an “emergent phenomena” of the brain, that neurons firing in the brain create a simulation that we call reality.

This is an error. Perception is a consequence of awareness, of consciousness, not the other way around.

This means that awareness is first, not perception, not brains, not bodies.

The materialist is correct in saying perception is an illusion but not because of neurons firing in the brain.

Perception is an illusion because it is a function of consciousness, the singular, undivided unity of Conscious Living Intelligence that modulates itself into apparent space/time subject/object relationships in which objects and universes are perceived and experienced. The reason this is so incredibly important is because this awareness is our actual identity, not merely the objects of our awareness.

It’s the difference between a map and the territory it describes. Perception is a map of the territory of Awareness.

The body/mind precipitates out of consciousness like water vapor that condenses on a glass of iced tea.

To say that consciousness comes out of the body/mind is upside down and backwards. This prevents an accurate understanding of our actual Condition as infinite consciousness.

Its also a completely ridiculous premise that exists without a single shred of supporting evidence. The neuroscientist never explains how it works, how a non- material, weightless, massless, dimensionless Awareness emerges from matter.

As a result our science is unable to explain what we observe. Astrophysicists are endlessly “baffled”. Medical science is also crippled by materialistic assumptions which is why we have so many specialists. The singular, undivided reality has been artificially sliced into pieces and particles.

There are no particles anywhere in the universe. The particle is an illusion created by interference patterns between wave forms of energy and light. Its similar to an image on a screen. The image is a pixel, not a particle.

In the same way, the body is an Image projected onto the Screen of Consciousness. There is a seamless unity between the Image and the Screen. We don’t notice the screen when we watch a movie in the same way the neuroscientist doesn’t notice the consciousness with which he creates his theory.

The neuroscientist uses consciousness to disprove consciousness. This is intellectual dishonesty at its worst.

The elephant in the neuroscientist’s living room is Consciousness, the proper subject of scientific exploration. Consciousness, perception and experience must be understood in order for reality to be comprehended as it is. Looking  through microscopes and telescopes day after day without looking at the Looker produces ignorance and stupidity. If I did not know I was wearing rose colored glasses, I would think that snow is red. The apparatus of the body/mind and its senses color Awareness like a prism, a rainbow in which clear light is refracted into color.

The real scientist doesn’t stop at the color, he traces it back to its origin. In the same way, we should not stop at perception and experience but trace them back to their origin in Awareness. Awareness is the clear Light of Living Intelligence that shines through the prism of the body/mind, producing the experience of perception of the universe.  

This is only the beginning, the Doorway.

In the same way, the infinite Intelligence of Life covers its’ eyes and waits for itself to hide. Then, it goes looking for itself.

Where does the infinite Intelligence hide? In every apparently separate and distinct organism, in every kind of appearance and experience.

When it covers its’ eyes and counts to 10, it takes billions of years for it to hide in biological evolution. When humans appeared, its hands came off its’ eyes and the search for the playmate was on.

The universe is like a child in a sandbox, building castles, knocking them down

In this Game model of Existence, the Universe and Cosmic Nature are seen as playful expressions of Living Awareness. If Consciousness is infinite then it can assume any shape and form without ceasing to be itself in the same way a movie screen never ceases to be itself no matter how many images are projected onto it.  Consciousness circulates between the cycles of birth and death without ever ceasing to be Consciousness in the same way that water can exist in 3 states, solid, liquid and gas and always remain H2O.

The 3 states of Consciousness are waking, sleeping and dreaming. Each state is wildly different from the other 2, yet its always  Consciousness. And, like ice is a state of water, matter is a state of consciousness and does not exist outside of Consciousness.

As an apparent individual, I am the part of God that is Hiding. As infinite Consciousness, I am the part of God that is Seeking.

The reason the Game model is so valuable is because it points to what we actually observe. It obsoletes both the Scientific Materialist model and the Religious model  by recognizing that Love, Beauty and Happiness are at the very Core of Life.

The Materialist and Religious models have failed humanity and imprisoned us on an island of flesh and bone, soon to be annihilated by death.

But, do we cease to exist when the body dies? The Materialist says Yes, because consciousness comes from the brain. The Religionist says No, we go to heaven or hell or we re-incarnate.

The Game model says No, we don’t cease to exist when the body dies because we are not the body, we are the Awareness OF the body. The Game model is built on the recognition that awareness, consciousness is our first experience. We are aware and we are aware that we are aware. The Game model says we are not an awareness inside a mind inside a body. Instead, the body and mind are inside awareness and are expressions of its’ states. Eternal Consciousness modulates itself into time and space which are refractions of itself when viewed through the mind and body. I see the mind and body as prisms that refract the Light into time and space. This enables play and exploration and creation. It enables passion, adventure and manifestation.

Therefore, play well. See that you are God hiding as the ego. Consider that Consciousness is the Screen upon which the image of time and space are projected. The Screen and the Image  are seamless. When the movie is playing, we don’t notice the screen but without it, no movie would be possible.

The Screen takes the shape of the Image without ceasing to be itself. The water takes the shape of the vase without ceasing to be water. God takes the form of the ego without ceasing to be God.

When humanity sees that we are not separate beings but that we all share One Being, everything will change. And Hide and Seek will be played as a joyful and happy Game.

When I say I, who or what is speaking? The only possible answer is infinite consciousness, that which is aware and alive in and as all things. The reason this is the only possible answer is because awareness is what makes experience possible in the first place, and the experience of I is primary and central to all other experiences.

My first experience is I.

I am. I exist. I am aware.

My second experience is I am aware of a body and mind in a world.

Since awareness is primary and central to all experience, I am awareness first and am not limited to the bodies and thoughts and objects that I am aware of any more than the sky is limited by what floats through it.

The incredible thing is that in order for I to appear, infinite consciousness has to forget itself and go to sleep so that it can dream me. I am a character, an eyeball, a perspective, a dream character in God’s mind.

This is why the Hindus talk about Maya, or deception and the Buddhists talk about emptiness.

The universe is what God looks like when viewed through a space/time perspective.

Its not identical to God any more than a brain scan while you’re eating chocolate is identical to the taste of chocolate. The point is that parts of the brain light up when you eat chocolate but it doesn’t tell you anything about the experience of tasting chocolate.

All we have and know is experience, awareness of I and what I am aware of.

All experience is built out of awareness, which expresses itself as I.

The dog knows her name and knows when you are speaking to her. The spider spins her web to catch food for her babies. Infinite consciousness forgets itself and surrenders itself to all beings without restraint.

The awareness in the spider and dog and you and me is identical.

The differences between species is like the difference between sunglasses, microscopes, and kaleidoscopes. All perspectives create their own unique refraction of the Infinite Light of Consciousness.

The reason this is important is because the Infinite Ocean of Living Light is eternal. The bodies and minds and universes appearing within it are finite and are created and destroyed in an endless process of transformation.

That’s what Infinite Radiant Awareness likes to do.

God goes to the Movies. In fact, God is the Movie.

As God’s dream character, the Game is to play the part well. Study your lines. Practice your acting skills with a coach. Take your part seriously. The audience can smell a bad actor and ruin a good story. The best actors are the ones who don’t look like they’re acting. They convince us that what we are seeing is real.

For years I have had a dream in which it’s opening night at the Metropolitan Theatre in New York and I am the Lead Actor in the Play. I am surrounded by actors in costumes. There are thousands of people in attendance and I am about to walk out onto the stage. I haven’t studied my lines, I have no idea what I am supposed to do or how I am going to fake this performance in public. The curtain is pulled back and then, thank God, I wake up.

Another dream I had repeatedly decades ago was my tongue was like a roll of toilet paper and I was furiously pulling it out of my mouth until it laid on the floor in a pile.

These 2 dreams are related and are relevant to the claims I am making in this essay.

The second dream is about other people’s words in my mouth.

The first dream is about a complete failure on my part to understand who I am and who my character is, and the difference between them.

I couldn’t remember my lines because I didn’t know who I was or who my character was. Other people’s words occupying my mind and tongue didn’t help either.

Now, through a brutal process of destruction and creation, I have stabilized and understood my true nature to be absolutely infinitely free and spectacularly beautiful and happy.

All of us share in this Nature.

Reality is so shockingly magnificent and so wickedly beautiful, a single glance into its core is more than enough to shatter your fear, arrogance, and vanity forever.

The point of this essay is to honor and respect what we usually take for granted, our ordinary human life, our mundane day to day routine.

When you think about what had to happen in order for you to be bored on a lazy day, things don’t look so mundane anymore.

The centrality of Awareness is the best kept secret in the world, hiding in plain sight. We think God and Infinite Consciousness is at a great distance from ourselves. But that’s not true and that’s not why we miss it.

We miss it because it is at a great closeness to ourselves, so close we don’t notice.

The point of authentic spiritual practice and study is to Notice.

That’s because when all the minor conditions have been incinerated, only the major Condition remains.

The minor conditions are the objects of perception, thoughts and ideas about body, mind and self. The major Condition, the Condition of all conditions, is That Which is Aware of all conditions, perceptions and objects.

To the Condition, conditions appear and disappear, but it is not changed, like a mirror that is not changed by what it reflects, or a screen that is not affected by the images appearing on it.

The shift from identifying with an image to identifying with the screen is bloody, chaotic, confusing and destructive of all false narratives. It is hot and painful and the dungeons full of rotting monsters and demons fling their gates wide open. I found myself feeding the hungry demons and finding places for the monsters to sleep. Some of them became my friends and allies after I pulled their broken teeth and stitched up the gashes in their flesh. Others moved on to other lands and I hear they tell tall tales of some dude who actually loved them and cared about them, which no one could believe.

My point is this: painful, ugly truth is much better than beautiful lies.

You have been lied to and worse, much worse, you believed them. You didn’t know any better. If your mother gives you a glass of milk, you drink it without question because it comes from a trusted source. The problem for us humans is that we trust sources that don’t deserve it.

For example, how do you know that you were born into Original Sin? Because the Bible says so and you trust the Bible.

How do you know that viruses cause disease? Because you trust the scientists and doctors who say so.

But, do you know for sure? Is there a test that we can do to determine if indeed we were born in Sin? Is there a test to prove that the presence of a microbe in the body of a sick person caused the disease? Does correlation prove causation? No. Nor does assumption equal proof. 

The way to live an authentic life that is free from the swarms of bats that constantly fly into your heart and soul is to become the Sky, to see that you have always been the Sky, you just thought you were a bat.

The water in a pitcher thinks its a pitcher. The water in a bucket thinks its a bucket. No, it’s still water, no matter what the shape.

Water can be liquid, solid or gaseous but it’s always H2O. 

You can be Tom, Nancy or Fido the fucking dog, but it’s always Awareness.

Awareness is infinite, without dimension, not located in space or time.

You are that. The proof is that Awareness is always your first experience and that only it can enable perception. No awareness, no perception. No perception, no experience. No experience, no Now.

Awareness and Now are identical. The proof is that wherever you go its always Here and no matter what time it is, it’s always Now.

You can’t get away from yourself. You’re always Here and Now.

This means that you are bigger than and prior to all phenomena, states, conditions and perceptions, all ideas, images, beliefs, and thoughts.

You can’t achieve this, you are this. The religions want you to seek this because they know you will never find it. You can’t find it because it’s not lost. It’s not lost because it’s the only Reality that Exists.

Yes, only Awareness exists and you’re it. Every so- called other shares your infinite being. You are like an infinite Ocean in which everything floats and swims. You are not born and you do not die. The playful forms and organisms are born and die, but the Radiant Living Awareness that circulates between their cycles of birth and death, doesn’t. 

You will not end when your body ends. You will see then and you can also see now, that this is true. Awareness is true, absolutely true, the Screen upon which all phenomena appear.

So relax and enjoy the show. After all, you wrote it, directed it, starred in it. You also built the theater and the audience in the Auditorium of the Heart.

The practical take away is this: every idea you ever had about yourself is wrong because you are not an idea, a thing. You are the Awareness of the idea.

When this becomes obvious to you, the cultural and religious conditioning starts to crack and melt. It’s the chrysalis and you’re the butterfly. The butterfly has to struggle through a tiny hole to get out of the chrysalis. It takes hours. As she squeezes through the pinhole, her wet body is cleaned and dried. If you try to help her and widen the hole with your pocket knife, she will get out faster, but she will die because the water that was not squeezed out is too heavy for her delicate body to carry.

Think about that the next time your petty preference are not met or you find yourself in a swamp at midnight. It is this kind of adversity and the courage it takes to face it that produces butterflies and mature adults.

As our precious human family enters the next gruesome phase of medical techno-fascism and the rise of the bio-security state, you can be sure that the only ones who survive will be the ones who comprehended and transcended the false narratives that have been stuffed down our throats and up our asses for millennia..

We colluded with them and went along with their bullshit. Those days are over.

Why Doubt, Disillusionment, Despair and Depression Are Gateways to Authentic Spiritual Awakening

Being well adjusted to a sick society is no accomplishment;  it’s a disgrace.

The pain of doubt, disillusionment, despair and depression is extremely valuable in the same way that the pain from sticking your hand into a fire is valuable and necessary.

That’s because the infinitely deep human heart cannot be satisfied with puny things like fame, power, sex and wealth. It is appropriate for divinely human individuals to feel the 4 D’s because the infinite cannot be fulfilled by the finite.

People are depressed because they don’t know who and what they are. Their contexts and labels for themselves are way too small. They are depressed for extremely good reasons.

Those reasons should be respected, uncovered, exposed and appreciated for what they really are: the psycho-tectonic tremblings of the Infinite Heart which is Alive as all things.

You have every reason to be extremely glad that you are depressed because it means that you are vastly bigger and greater than you have ever imagined.

The depression, like the pain of the fire, motivates us to see that our thoughts, assumptions and actions are mistaken, toxic and lethal.

If you were satisfied with material things and a false identity, THAT would be a problem.

Your task is to see that you caused the depression, just like sticking your hand in the fire caused the pain. The “fire” that caused the depression is Spiritual Error.

Spiritual Error occurs when we mistake the map for the territory, or the menu for the meal.

Every one of your ideas about yourself is incorrect. That’s because you are not an idea.

You are a Presence.

Ideas spring out of Presence like maps spring out of territories. Maps are useful but they are not the Territory. You are the Territory but you overlook this and call your Presence a body, mind and self in a world in a universe.

While you are intimately associated with the body/mind/self, you are not identical to it, anymore than a movie screen is identical to the images projected onto it. You are the Light of Awareness that shines through the projector of body and mind. This is what produces time and space.

The body refracts Presence into space;  the mind refracts Presence into time.

You are the Light, the Projector, the Stage, the Images and the Audience.

We imagine ourselves to be the mind in a body in the world and that’s true, but its not the Whole Picture.

You are the Whole Picture. You are One Presence, unchanged by whatever you are Present to.

You are like a mirror which is unchanged by whatever it reflects.

Failure to understand this results in depression, thank God.

Use your depression for what it is intended for. It is not a “condition” that needs to be “treated”.

It is a Sacred Message, just like the pain the hand feels in the fire. That pain is not a “condition” either, it’s extremely valuable information.

Depression is what happens when what you want is too small, or who you think you are is some puny, cornball, cheesy, cardboard map, a cartoon version of your Infinite Heart.

You can prove this to yourself simply and directly. Turn your attention to the one who is depressed, the one who is aware of the depression. You are not a body/mind that is depressed;  You are the Awareness of the body/mind that is depressed.

Become curious about that One. Pay attention to that One. Deeply contemplate the Wonder and the Mystery and the Gargantuan Magnificence of that One.

In this way, You will be restored to your True Identity as Infinite Love and Happiness and you will see that you are not merely the objects of your Awareness, but Awareness Itself.

The depression is an inevitable artifact of an identity that is incorrect.

The solution is to take your hand out of the fire of false ideas, cultural conditioning, scientific materialism and religious superstition.

This is the story of the Prodigal Son, who spends all his life energy pursuing gratification and love in all the wrong places, then drags his penniless, ravaged self back to his Father, who welcomes him with open arms.

That’s because they are identical.

Give up the idea of being a separate self in a mind, in a body, in a world.

Embrace the Truth of your moment to moment experience of and as, Awareness and notice that it PRECEDES objects and ideas. All of your experiences, perceptions, thoughts and ideas are appearing in your Awareness, like clouds in the Sky.

The Sky is not affected by the clouds, nor by their absence.

Awareness is not affected by body and mind, nor by their absence.

The only thing that doesn’t change is the Awareness of the change.

When your body dies, absolutely nothing with change for You.

You will experience its death and will be amused that You used to think that it was You.

Your Actual Nature is Infinite Love and Happiness, but it got buried under mountains and centuries of false assumptions.

It’s buried, yes. But it’s still the Truth.

Countless births—and deaths—occur every day across our planet and the universe beyond.
Yet, Life continues to arise. Therefore, death is no threat to Life.
If one could stand back far enough, the universe would look like a bright light, with flames and tongues of fire: individuals.
Imagine every individual as a tongue of fire, or a filament in a light bulb that conducts energy, heat and light.
The light bulb burns out, the energy that conducts itself through it doesn’t.
We are that energy. Our hearts, minds and bodies are the circuit: bright lights on two legs.
The relationship between the bodymindself and the Light is so close, so intimate, it’s hard to tell them apart. In fact, it’s impossible to tell them apart.

The ecstatic intimacy between part and whole, self and God, matter and consciousness is a staggering wonder to behold.
Your awareness in this moment, and always, is perfectly coherent with the Awareness, the Aliveness Which conducts itself throughout the galactic body of the universe. The Ocean of Existence is made from Living Light: Self Conscious Aliveness.
The stars and galaxies are neurons in the Quantum Brain, the planets are Gardens of Delight. Individuals are literal Temples of God.
This is completely Obvious, on every scale.
Each human individual is a tiny fractal of That Which Is Alive As All Things.
Every person’s actual identity is this Light (Love).
A human is a sun, a star, a Tongue of God’s Flame.
The question is, Why is this fact not at the center of world culture?
Why do human beings give away their birthright for a bowl of porridge?
How is it possible on a planet so spectacularly beautiful as Earth, with gloriously, exquisitely gorgeous human beings all over it, to routinely, chronically miss the Obvious?
Life is Beautiful. Life is Love. Why is there so little understanding of this in our world?
My answer is We never get over the shock of birth, of suddenly showing up as a vulnerable individual in a chaotic world, and dramatize abandonment and victimhood, ad infinitum.
We play Poor Me/ Fuck You with a vengeance. We indulge in self-pity, then blame others for our sorry plight.
That’s why we don’t grow up. We remain childish, emotionally and spiritually.
Like children, we rely on mommydaddygod to tell us what’s true.
Our not-so-hidden rage at our self- imposed enslavement destroys and prevents equanimity and equilibrium.
Now, we need a savior.
The problem in this world is not a virus, not dictatorial governments, not banking cartels who stole our currency.
The problem is the mentality of slaves who believe what they are told and don’t take responsibility for finding out what’s true and being loyal to it.

The contexts that I use to interpret the data of my experience are my responsibility.  

Adopting any and every context is extremely serious business because context determines outcome.

Humans have been conditioned to use extremely limited and, in most cases, completely useless contexts that are also very harmful, ugly and destructive.

People who use small contexts are easy to control. The threat of danger is all it takes. Combine this with the promise of rescue and you have the perfect bait and trap.

This trap is made in the human mind. Aldous Huxley pointed out that this is the best trap of all, far better than cages and police. The people control themselves through the worship of their enslavement. And, they snitch on each other for personal gain (Think George Soros telling the Nazis where the Jews kept their gold and jewels).

Therefore, the ONLY solution to suffering as a prisoner is to UNDERSTAND the nature of the prison. Even prior to that, the individual must cognize that there even IS a prison. This is a huge task for many people who have been institutionalized by the prison system. There are many cases of prisoners who were released, threw rocks through jewelry store windows, then sat down and waited for the police to take them back to prison because they were so conditioned.

It’s completely understandable. If you can’t see the prison, then freedom wouldn’t even occur to you.

It gets worse.  Prisoners who accept their condition, condemn their liberators.

Morpheus tells Neo “You can’t wake these people up from the Matrix. You can show them the door. They have to walk through it”.

The Red Pill

The Red Pill is the Door, the Medicine and the Surgical Procedure for removing the Splinter, which Morpheus addresses  in Neo.  “You know there’s something wrong, but you just can’t put your finger on it”.

 You scratch, but it still itches.

The Red Pill is the brave decision to jump off the cliff of everything you think you know and fall through free space.    It requires the kind of trust it takes to jump out of an airplane with a parachute. The jumper has placed his life on the integrity of his parachute and the dynamics of atmosphere and gravity .

The Red Pill is the courageous act of Openness to Reality and the Unknown.  Cour is heart, in French.

It is a Cause, and it has an Effect.

When one ingests an entheogenic compound, for example, like Amanita Muscaria, the effect is that conventional boundaries between the space/time bound body/mind/self and the Cosmic Infinity of Existence disappear.

Instead of identifying exclusively with my personal sense of an individuated self, I suddenly find myself existing as Everything.  It’s quite a shock and many people have a very hard time with it, which is why shamans and authentic  guides are willing to assist their brave colleagues in their Ordeal of Understanding.

Morpheus uses the effect of the Red Pill and acupuncture and tender loving care to help Neo make the journey to the Real World and get him safely back again to the underground bunkers where the Resistance to the Matrix is carried out.

Neo’s choice to take the Red Pill is what initiated the Process.

He was not shopping at the Metaphysical Market for shiny trinkets and merry-go-rounds.

He jumped off the cliff because he itched so badly, he couldn’t stand it. He knew something was not right and he absolutely HAD to find out what.

People who are fascinated by the beads and necklaces the prison guards sell them are blind to their Situation.

When we dream at night, we don’t know we’re dreaming. The dreamer is experiencing his dream exactly as we experience the waking state. When we get up in the morning, we remember the experience as a dream, one that is viewed from another reality entirely,  the waking state.

We don’t have a problem making a distinction between the two states because we’re firmly planted in the one that includes them both.

One does not have to eat psychedelic plants, or take a Red Pill to Choose to become an Adult.

One only has to be unable to tolerate the Itch.

The Splinter

Who or what planted the Splinter in Neo’s mind?

The Splinter is caused by contexts that are too narrow, or lies that are too big. The chick outgrows the egg. The child becomes the adult.

The sub-human “people”  who herd humanity into economic, pharmaceutical, political, religious, scientific, national, sexual, racial and cultural prisons understand the value of tiny contexts.

That’s why it is true that the Oppressor’s greatest weapon is the mind of the oppressed.

The Adult

The Adult state and the Waking state are identical.

Children become adults through the destruction of their childish contexts. When they CHOOSE to abandon their childhood. Adulthood doesn’t happen automatically at puberty or physical maturity.

Adulthood is a Choice.  One becomes an adult only by walking through the Door and Falling through the Floor into Appropriate Context. Once over the threshold, an extraordinary Realm appears, never before imagined.

In this Realm the Adult Recognizes that s/he is, as a personal body/mind/self,  a literal fractal of Existence.

S/he is not disturbed or distracted by last night’s Dream of Childhood.

One is awake within an infinitely larger Context.  It is easy to observe all the smaller contexts from this “perspective”.  It’s not really a perspective at all; it is the Living Radiant Condition that includes all perspectives.  It’s not an “It” either.  Awareness, consciousness, the waking state is not an object, an “it”. We don’t know what “it” is.

We are simply aware of the Radiant Glory of Existence.  That’s our Stake in the Ground, the Sanctuary of our Precious Personal Life and Cosmic Identity.

Identifying as awareness is the beginning of the possibility of Adulthood.  From that Stake in the Ground comes an appreciation for freedom, something we didn’t know we didn’t have.

And for the sacred responsibility to protect that freedom.

Adults recognize the value of freedom and are willing to defend it.

Only those who can plainly see the prison bars and which side we are on, can actually comprehend the Situation. Until then, we are only blind men describing an elephant as being like a tree, or a rope.

Morpheus could not tell Neo about the Matrix because it’s impossible. One has to experience it directly and can only do so as an act of will, of free Choice.

At that Point, a crack in the Egg of the Child allows torrents of Light to Illuminate the core strands of  DNA and the Caterpillar Child becomes the Butterfly Adult.

There are markers along the way and trees that bear fruit.  That’s because Adults create Value and protect Life, from their heart, from Caring.

The Adult manages Heart, Mind and Body.

With Care.

Without Caring about what is True, what is Valuable and Taking Action for it, no Adulthood is possible.When one becomes an Adult and can competently manage Freedom and Responsibility, the Infinite Power of Cosmic Existence becomes fully available to the extent of the person’s ability to Conduct it.

Adulthood is the Urgent Responsibility and Obligation to Care enough to be fully what we are, not just a caterpillar.

It requires exhaustive self- ownership,  fierce devotion to what is real and a radical willingness to sacrifice everything that is not true in order to  even to begin to meet that Obligation.

It’s easy for the Kuntrollerz to stunt our growth, because we prefer the safety of our childhood over Jumping off a Cliff.

It may be painful, but not nearly as much as not Jumping.

Do we stay in the Womb of Childhood, or do we take responsibility for our Adulthood?

Neo took the Red Pill and initiated a Process that he could not have imagined. The stakes became so high, he had no choice but to rise to the occasion and become the Awakened One, the True Adult, by realizing his always existing, already inherent continuity between Part and Whole.

The Child is not lost in the Adult, it remains as a fond memory, a Cocoon that birthed a Butterfly through a willingness to Scratch the Itch, to Open Up, to Trust Life, and to Jump off a Cliff because you care about what’s True.

Finding out that my life has been based upon lie after lie is sickening and painful. I threw up, like Neo in the movie The Matrix, when he discovered that his so called life was a dream, a nightmare of horrors, lie upon lie.

His awakening was bloody and painful. He did not greet it with a smile, he had to recover from it, his own awakening! The truth is so massive, so crushing, no one can endure its weight.

The Truth literally crushes you to death, and that is why Awakening is about It, not “me”. Your identity as a separate entity will not survive the journey to enlightenment. The Truth hurts, but it’s still the Truth, still Life Giving. There is no need for beliefs when you have the Truth, or rather, when It has you.

In our world, it’s not only the tyrants who lie their asses off, it’s the priests and doctors too, unwitting administrators of torture and falsehood. They promote lies they sincerely believe.

But does the truth care about my beliefs about it? No. Do my ideas affect the truth? No.

Maps are not the Territory. Menus are not the Meal.

Eat the Real, Live the Territory.

The Territory is the Radiant Conscious Field of Intelligent Light, the Impossible Wonder of the Presence of Life. The Meal is the ecstatic Whole Body Enjoyment of this undeniable Truth: the entirety of Reality Itself is your most fundamental identity now, we are absolutely inherently identical to Whatever the Fuck It Is that became us, little ole you and me, go figure. When we finally come to grips with the mind shattering reality of our Actual Condition, now, we will be able to manage our lives and this planet without conflict.

The Map is a compilation of our scientifically materialistic, religiously psychotic, politically constipated, culturally anemic ideas about It. Our job is to move from the Map to the Territory.

In my last essay, Whatever Destroyed the Towers Could Power the Planet, I identified 3 lies, 3 social memes that infect the body of Humanity and regulate its behavior just as surely as our genes rule our bodies.

Here is one more, the most basic lie of all, the one that most enables our domination by the Matrix.

Ego.

The so-called ego is born from an assumption. It is not an entity, but a belief in one, a belief in a separate self, one that is marooned on an island of flesh. Belief in the ego is the result of a confusion about uniqueness, where individuation becomes the equivalent of separation. The ego is a belief, a primitive superstition, a cult of one, an emotional recoil dramatized as abandonment and betrayal. Every ego is a fundamentalist, a fascist, and a tyrant in a drama of perpetrator/victim. I call it the Poor me/Fuck you syndrome.

The truth is, I don’t have an ego and neither do you! We have a belief in ego, an assumption about our state that has no basis in Reality itself. A belief in something doesn’t make it true, no matter how devout we are, no matter how dedicated we may be to that belief. Pious devotion to falsehood turns people into fools. When you unpack your “self” and all its contents, it turns out to be just a pile of old books and dirty laundry.

The One who did the unpacking, That’s Who I Am. You too.

There is only one Reality, not two. The One became the “two”. Still, no “objects” actually exist, only Consciousness Exists. You are That, showing up like a Fish in the Ocean.

You are the Ocean, the Fish, and the Observer, all at once. How can this be? No one knows.

It just is.

You showed up out of nowhere because two people you didn’t even know had sex, now you’re an expert on everything because of all the great things you believe in. The problem is, you don’t know jack shit and not only that, you don’t know that you don’t know jack shit, a very dangerous situation. It’s important to know when you are confused. Well, I’m telling you. You’re confused, you don’t know jack shit and neither do I. That’s our situation. All we know is what we think we know. Reality Itself is unknowable, because finite minds, local space/time perspectives on the Whole just don’t cut it! How could they? This sounds like really bad news because if I can’t know It and I don’t know jack shit, how can I survive? How can I control things?

This question and the answer we provide is the birth of the so-called separate self, the “ego”.

The separate self is born when I imagine myself to be threatened by the awesome forces of birth and change and death. The appropriate heart response to this Infinite Current is a Gasp That Takes My Breath Away, not fear, not doubt, not withdrawal. That’s right. Who am I to judge or criticize or condemn Life? What the Fuck do I know?

Once I recognize my profound ignorance in the face of Infinite Life, I suddenly, unexpectedly, become identified with It, bonded to It, not separate from It. My knowledge about It ceases to be an obstruction to its Fierce Power and I see that It is not an “Object”, not “other”, and that I am not only inherently intimate with It, I am It, It is “me”. It’s a profound, mysterious and terribly passionate Love Affair, in which I am happy to Drown.

It is my true identity, not “me”. The “me” suddenly becomes weightless, transparent, and extremely sensitive to literally everything.

Enlightenment is perfect non- obstruction to the White Hot Core of the Living Current and results in a deeply felt emotional sensitivity to literally everything, a vulnerability to and passion for Whatever the Fuck It Is. I don’t know What It is, all I know is that I love It, I am in Awe of it, I trust It, I align myself with It, beyond and before the mind and its ideas. I am prior to the mind, a realization which makes the mind useful, otherwise, it’s a real bitch, as you know, your mind and everyone else’s. This is what Jean-Paul Sartre meant when he said “Hell is other people”, the basis of his play, Nausea. Hell is “me” and “you” grotesque and monstrous impersonations of our Real Condition, a Frankenstein run amuck in the Kingdom of the Real, the Infinite Heart of Love.

But, instead of mystical euphorias and other caricatures of enlightenment, you get complicated and painful ordeals of the heart. Instead of gleeful happiness and “fulfillment” you get a bleeding, oozing wound that never heals. Instead of glamorous rewards for your search for God, you get the utter destruction of the searcher.

This is not what I expected.

I thought I would be adorned in shining robes and bathed in light when I became enlightened, but I am being crucified on this cross of light and dark. Still, I do not suffer, even though Awakening really hurts. How can this be? Pain without suffering? What? Yes. How can this be? I do not know. All I know is that I trust the excruciating Pain. Do you? Or do you turn it into blame and self pity?

Now, as a result of recovering from your illusions about yourself, your Actual Condition at Infinity becomes painfully clear. You start to become animated, humorous, and irreverent. You poke fun at very serious issues and you crack jokes about really painful subjects. People can’t understand you, what the fuck is wrong with you?

You woke up, that’s what.

Now, you have to deal with it. So do they. Their job will be much easier than yours though, because they can just ignore you or write you off as a nutcase. They would be exactly correct. According to the rules of this world, you are a nutcase, thank heaven.

Your true, actual, always already existing identity, is not a separate self, but the very One Who Is Alive As All Things. You are That, me too. The ego idea is a preposterous and ridiculous lie, an assumption, not an “entity” that needs to be overcome. No such entity exists, never has, never could, it’s impossible. Stop making the presumption of egoity, and your life will get better, stronger, more fundamentally true and alive. This is not a prescription for a real disease, only for an imaginary one, but one with real and deadly consequences.

Overcome your belief in a separate self, then, What is already true, What has always been the Case, will become perfectly Obvious. The Truth is the Truth, now. Also, our Singularity as a species has always existed, it’s just that it has been overtaken by ego insane ideas, just like our personal identities.

Our job is to restore our sanity, our personal and common humanity, by recognizing what is absolutely, fundamentally true: one, singular Consciousness is the nature of Reality. There is no inherent problem with Existence, no dilemma, no threat. All things, all worlds and universes are absolutely coherent and perfectly coincide with the Eternal Radiant Transcendental Being of Existence Itself, the Person of Love. Creating problems where none exist is the ego hell of ordinary life. It is arbitrary and unnecessary. Ego belief is easily transformed when the nature of Reality becomes apparent. Whirlpools don’t exist without a River. The bodymindself is a whirlpool that becomes an ego when it can’t Find the River.

This is the same message as the Original Gospel of Jesus: prior, already existing unity with the Divine Reality, and is the very message that got him killed. The world is based on the ego lie of separation which necessitates salvation schemes and atonement rituals which Jesus routinely condemned in public. They strung him up as quickly as possible and crucified him as a dangerous heretic. Later, he became the poster boy for blood sacrifice. This is an example of how the Truth is weaponized. Jesus had great credibility among the people, he was intensely loved, he was the greatest mouthpiece the Pharisees and Rome could ever hope for, so he became the “Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world”. In this way, the ego lie was kept in place and Jesus was used like a nail in that coffin.

The ego lie is the most fundamental premise of the world, which is why we have scientific materialism, the idea that consciousness comes from the brain, and religious superstition which imagines parental deities who must be placated and obeyed, a clearly childish context. An adult context would be heart felt love communion with That, not mommy-daddy appeasement rituals.

Humanity is like a child who has been severely used and abused. Our task is to recover from the lies we believed and the abuse we both endured and participated in and enabled. We must mature in this way on both a personal and a planetary level.

We can do it and we must.
