i have been persuaded to think that myself, which is to say that souls are eternal because we are going to trace out more paths but not necessarily at the same scale that we are observing and interacting with at present. both chaos theory and fractal theory are working together here. if you have not already done so, i recommend digging in to John Conway’s The Game of Life (which isnt a game). John Conway was a monumental Englishman and mathematics professor sadly passed away in 2020.

i’m grateful for your explanations. one of the helpful concepts that i have been developing for my own benefit is the concept of scale. for example when you look at a fractal, everything is there all at once but you are able to appreciate the part that corresponds to the scale of your own size or perception.

I live a stonesthrow from the river Piddle in Dorset ,
which springs forth from the earth where the Cerne Abbas Giant
can be found , in all his glorious fertility . I am , of this river
and I am , of this land but I cannot be certain that my
conscious awareness does not also spring out of
this beautiful living planet , or from its local star .
