quite why anyone would put much faith , or trust , in any external guide ,
whether religious , tribal , political , or some other form of groupthink ,
is baffling to me . just quieten the ego and listen to the little voice
of intuition , then speak or act with an open , loving , heart …
life does not have to be complicated and serious , unless

in my opinion your essay is pointing towards the truths uncovered by learning the way of life of certain tribal people. Tribal people don’t live in separation from their gods, spirits, etc. However, I would not recommend all tribal people, and also, not imitating all of their customs and traditions. The mature Christian sees the evolution of the faith from a childish fairy tale told to discipline unruly children into the rock of humanism that has captivated western civilization for centuries. Humanistic values are desirable to me, and those tribes or tribal traditions that don’t reflect it are not interesting for the purpose of guiding my life nor my community’s life. State plainly and falsifiably the result that you seek. When you have done that, the path to that result is clear.
