When What You Want is Too Small

Everyone wants happiness, but who is willing to do what it takes to realize it? When what you want is too small, then this is the place to start. If you’re not happy, it’s probably because what you want is too small. The danger in chasing little desires is that they can distract you from accessing real, tangible, actual happiness.

It’s not that desires are wrong, they’re just too small. The Kontrollers, the social engineers, the banking cartels, and the corporate oligarchs take advantage of this and are eager to convince you that “fulfilling your desires” will bring you happiness.

The point of this essay is to prove that No, it won’t.

Happiness cannot be achieved, only realized as the pre-existent Condition of all conditions. That’s right. Happiness is the foundation of Life. How do we know this? Because happiness comes from love and love is light and that’s what existence is: conscious, living Light.

No one can be happy without love, and I don’t just mean being loved, but by being capable of loving and being devoted to love, under all conditions.

You can’t see your own eyes. You can’t bite your own teeth. And, you can’t find happiness, you can only realize it as your very nature.

Children don’t need to be taught how to love, how to play, or how to be happy. If you are not happy (and I don’t mean “gleeful”) then you have forgotten what you used to know.

The reason this is so important to understand is, because otherwise, you will be subject to an endless search that goes around in circles and never gets anywhere except to despair and exasperation over your failed efforts to secure lasting, authentic happiness.

It can’t be found because it’s not a thing. It is not an object, it is a Profound Disposition, a courageous act of Trust and Confidence in Life, a realization of Life Itself.

Happiness is a responsibility, not a commodity that you can buy with the currency of your fulfilled desires. I can tell you for certain: fulfilled desires do NOT bring happiness. In fact, it’s quite the opposite because fulfilled desires end.

Real happiness doesn’t.

Everyone knows what happiness is. As children, we were innocent, open. Happiness flooded through us. Then, we closed down and became cynical, morbid, depressed because meaning and intimacy with Life and Love was prevented by our ideas

If you were really happy, you wouldn’t search for fulfillment. Therefore, the search is evidence of your unhappiness. The search reveals that you misplaced happiness and now have to go looking for it.

I am not condemning the search, or spiritual hunger, I am criticizing the notion that fulfillment of desire will bring happiness. Hunger for meaning, love, and purpose is real and beautiful. Only the realization of your true nature will satisfy that hunger. Everything else is secondary. Only the spontaneous transcendence of the search that comes from realizing your Actual Condition, is happiness.

The happiness at the Core of Existence is what you forgot, so you searched for it, couldn’t find it, and concluded that it doesn’t exist. This is an error. Happiness does exist, it’s just not the result of a successful search.

The search must end. Confidence in Life and Love must begin. Happiness is a moral and spiritual responsibility. Happiness is not gleefulness. Complete Happiness is Perfect Emotional and Spiritual Sobriety, absolute non-obstruction of the Current of Life, the Radiant Field of Life Energy.

From the very beginning, happiness has been marketed as a commodity that you can consume. This has been going on for countless centuries. It didn’t work then, it doesn’t work now.

The Serpent convinced Eve that eating the Apple would bring happiness. The Deceiver tempted Christ with fulfillment and dominion over the Earth if he would submit to him.

The corporate oligarchs slime you with promises of happiness if you buy their car, or their toothpaste. Their message is seductive, alluring, and manipulative. Very dangerous to you and your well being.

Your job and mine, is much more serious, and involves literally everything you have been taught and believed. It involves the profound inspection of Existence Itself, the infinite, unknowable, yet palpable, tangible Presence of Life. It involves your complete abandon and surrender to That Which is Alive as all things. It involves the dismantling of gargantuan superstructures built on sand.

This message will not be broadcasted on the evening News. It will not be taught in the seminaries or institutions of higher learning. It definitely will not be preached by the New Age teachings, or the dangling carrots of scientific materialism and technological advances.

These carrots are substitutes for real happiness. They’re not even real carrots, which would provide some nutrition, they’re pictures of carrots.

The New Age Teachings for example proclaim that “manifesting your desires” and being a “vibrational match” to what you want is THE way to live.

The problem with this teaching is that it doesn’t tell you what happens after you get what you want. I’ll tell you what happens: It rots. It disappears. It produces craving for another fix. And, it leaves you in despair which will calcify into cynicism and lovelessness.

And, in my opinion, that’s the whole point of these “teachings”.

They are designed to spin you around in circles and get you exactly nowhere.

The litmus test for any teacher is their answer to What is the root cause of suffering? If they don’t say something like The root cause of suffering is the voluntary and baseless dramatization of abandonment, rejection, and worthlessness”, then they’re probably blaming someone or something for your problem. If teachings are true, they will tell you to wise up, get your head out of your ass and the clouds, and get Real. They would insist that you be responsible for yourself and quit giving your power away and wasting your magnificent Power of Attention They would criticize you for being foolish, childish, and irresponsible. They would instruct you to quit lying to yourself and quit believing lies altogether

THAT would be useful. THAT would be practical and effective. THAT would be authentic spiritual practice.

Find out for yourself and see if you don’t already know this, at your Core.

Once it becomes Obvious to you again, you will wonder how you ever forgot this, and you will vow to never forget it again, and you never will. Your life will center around the Sacred Obligation to Pay Attention to the Radiant Core of Reality. You will fulfill the conditions for profound happiness, by being intimately sensitive to the Infinitely Beautiful Presence of Life.

Your chatter of mind will be silenced by the Spectacle of Living Grace and you will be capable of great intellection that is free of vanity and arrogance.

Happiness will drive your life and you will become a monster of love. You will be happy because life is Happy, Free, and Radiant. Whatever is true of Life is true of you. Your identity will find itself right smack dab in the middle of the Intensity of Cosmic Existence. You are, literally, an infinite being, now, and your life will show it in your depth of character and richness of heart.

Being responsible for Happiness is very big business, ain’t no cheesy formula. It’s what really matters because it’s at the very center of the heart and its passion. Superficial gleeful happiness is a horror, kinda like winning the lottery in hell.

Real Happiness is our True Condition, but we fuck it up with stupid ideas. You are the sole creator of your unhappiness and your emotional withdrawal from Life poisons everything. It is up to each of us to end this and vow to always be open and intimate with the blissful Life Current Living everything.
