The Staggering Wonder and Paradox of Existence

by robert cinque

When I say “I am, I am aware, I am aware of my awareness”, it is conscious living intelligent universal Infinite Presence that is speaking.

When I say “I am Robert”, the infinite conscious Radiant Presence Alive as all things Presents and Projects Itself as me, the human individual named Robert.

“I am” is God speaking.

“I am me” is ego speaking.

Here’s the Great Paradox:

“I am aware” could be compared to water. “I am me” could be compared to a cup.

The cup is also made from this water, this consciousness that appears as solid objects and universes.

So, you might ask, What the Fuck?

That would be a Good Question because it comes from Deep Curiosity and Wonder. How could anything exist? Why isn’t there just nothing? Infinite blackness and void, eternally.

Because if nothing existed, it would be a something. That’s why there is everything because nothing could not exist without becoming a something.

Put another way, I like to think of the Radiant Universal Consciousness as the Space that Recognizes Itself as Being, as Existence Itself.

Existence is Aware of Itself. It says “I Am”. Existence is Consciousness. The Universe is a consequence of the Existence and Presence of Consciousness.

Therefore, you are Infinite Consciousness appearing as an apparent individual.

What we must remember and Notice is that the Water is not subject to the limitations and parameters of the cup.

Many spiritual traditions call Consciousness the Void, Emptiness, Nothingness but this is incorrect, these words are only metaphors.

Consciousness is LIKE Void and Emptiness, but it is not nothing!

It’s Something. It Exists.

The cup does not know about all the wonderful properties of water, it’s just a cup.

The ego me Robert does not know about all the wonderful properties of Consciousness, it’s just an ego.

That’s the mind- blowing Paradox.

This is not a belief or a premise, it’s a Recognition of the Radiant Condition of all conditions.

The Question is, What is my relationship to this Wonder?

What am I doing with it? Or to it? How can I best Align myself with the Universal Person of Love, the Radiant Presence of Living Intelligence? How can I be a better Lover? What must I do in order to Really Appreciate the Condition of my condition?

These kind of questions are sincere and curious childlike explorations that are based on openness and wonder. That makes them immensely powerful and effective and, when you ask them, the Universal Current of Life flows ever more powerfully into you.

In addition to writing essays like these, Robert Cinque also builds beautiful, affordable and comfortable yurts for homeowners and businesses in the fabulous Skagit County. Throughout the past three decades, his work has included building and installing wood art at local landmarks like the Cascadian Farm Organic Fruitstand in Rockport (WA), the Birdsview Brewery at the foot at “the American Alps” in the Pacific Northwest’s Skagit Valley, and many others. He has worked with visionary architect and organic designer Sunray Kelley for over 20 years on many beautiful projects. Together, they formed Radiant Homes and are actively engaged in the development of the Living Home, the Bioshelter, the no-mortgage, no-permit, food and energy producing home. Their work has been featured on National Geographic, MTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and represents the Greening of Architecture, a movement they consider to be the most important development since the Industrial Revolution. He says: These essays are about “dungeons of mind, the root of suffering, true sanctuary, and the glorious imperative to live intimately with That Which Is Alive As All Things. They are painful, bloody and hard-hitting (the “truth will set you free, but it will piss you off first”). They are designed to destroy what’s false and cultivate what’s real. They are not merely my opinions or philosophy; they are field reports from the underground where the Lie was deconstructed. They are wrecking balls, cosmic insults to vanity and arrogance, bulldozers and firebombs that burn out the tangled underbrush. They are intended to water the Seeds of Life buried under mountains and centuries of false beliefs, inherited “culture” and ego cults, so-called “religions”, including scientism, masquerading as truth. Idols are routinely lampooned and sacred cows are turned into hamburger as quickly as possible. I really don’t mean to offend any one personally. I’m not after them. I’m after the beliefs that are harming them: the Big Lie, the belief in separation from Love and Truth that strangles the heart and creates terrible, unbearable suffering. I love to help create Sanctuary and Shelter. I am a green builder and enjoy showing others how to build a no-mortgage, no-permit bio-shelters that also provide food and energy. shelter@nwlink.com cell 360-393-5663

Paradox is keep fit for the mind .
my grey matter loves to grapple with Time , now and then .
I love the Paradox of Perfection .
for anything to be perfect it must be complete … whole .
for something to be whole it must include a Flaw ,
so Perfection is only perfect when its imperfect !

Yes. I get this for sure. And I have had this conversation with friends. Nothing is something because you’ve named it. You have a concept of it. An idea or thought/belief about it. So there really can’t be nothing as it’s been defined. Otherwise you wouldn’t have a name for it or any idea whatsoever about it. I have to go listen to Darkside Of The Moon now. I need a Floyd fix.

my bad , old prog fan assumed a Floydie would also be
a Crimson fan . I Love all things prog rock , except ELP…
no guitar ? pah ! hard to believe Darkside is 50 years old now !
ticking away the moments , eh …..

I’ve never thought of Floyd as prog rock. They were too psychedelic with weird fusion of blues, rock and maybe a splash of jazz. The Gilmour era is a little flat. Gotta have Rog steering that ship or its just aimless.

And, as I forgot to add, if there were truly nothing then nothing would be all there was.

anything or nothing is something worth doing … potentially .
everything and nothing are something ….. conceptually .
